NEW BUSINESS:
David Mays asked about the overflowing of the water tower. Mayor Suggs reported that the pressure reducing valve was not working properly. Chris Day has repaired it.  Russ Schenck reported that the planning commission will meet at 6:00 P.M. on September 18th. They would like direction from council about the planning commission's proposal tonight. The planning commission would like to act at the next meeting and bring a specific buffer zone to council.  Chief Bliss informed council that the fire contract would expire at the end of this year. The safety committee needs to work on a new contract.
