Planning Commission Meeting
Date: Monday, June 6, 2005 Time: 6:00 p.m. Village Council Chambers
Present: Mitch Suggs, Mayor Bill Bliss, Zoning Inspector Russ Schenck Marilyn Dafler
The minutes of the May 2, 2005, meeting were distributed.
Bill Bliss, Zoning Inspector, distributed copies of his report.
Russ Schenck reported that a letter was sent to Claudia Hurst, employee of D&D RV & Auto Sales, denying a variance to place a sign on the split-rail fence at Barney's Dairy Bar.
Russ Schenck reported that a site visit was made at the residence of Rick Webster regarding his request for a variance for an alley right-of-way for a carport on his property. The alley right-of-way is 10 foot off the homeowners property and to install this carport Mr. Webster needs additional footage. After the site visit Mr. Webster was asked to revise the variance to align the carport 3 feet south of the property line, and a revised variance was submitted. Mayor Suggs moved that the revised variance be accepted; Marilyn Dafler seconded; motion carried.
The property line of the Dennis Brubaker property at 48 East Dayton Street was discussed and further research is needed.
Chris Day surveyed lots in town to assess the sidewalk/green space parameters. After discussion, Mayor Mitch Suggs moved that village sidewalks be 4 foot and the green space between walk and curb be 4 foot; Marilyn Dafler seconded; motion carried. Russ Schenck stated that the present ordinance for sidewalks is 5 feet and needs to be revised to 4 foot.
With no further business, meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Dafler
